We're ready for the next phase of restoration

Building on our successful 2025 planting project, we're ready for the next phase of restoration. This year, we're giving our community the power to choose which project we tackle next - or if we're overwhelmed with support, we'll do both!

Option 1: Connect the Dots Part 1

Creating Wildlife Corridors

Fence off a strategic portion on the other side of our farm to connect the 200 plant area we established in 2024. This planting creates wildlife corridors and expands our protected habitat network.

This Project Needs:

0.25HA (0.6 acres) of paddock currently used for grazing
600 native plants
50 meters of protective fencing
Plant protection materials: covers, fertiliser tablets, and bamboo stakes for each plant

Project Target: NZD$6,300

Option 1

Option 2: Gully Restoration Expansion

Paddock G4 Retirement and Transformation

Transform one of our paddocks (G4 - 1 hectare) located next to the existing protected gullies into native habitat. This strategic location will provide additional erosion protection and wildlife habitat without requiring any new fencing.

This Project Needs:

1HA (2.5 acres) of paddock currently used for grazing
2250 native plants
No fencing required - already in place
Plant protection materials: covers, fertiliser tablets, and bamboo stakes for each plant

Project Target: NZD$17,500

Option 2

Dream Big Option: BOTH PROJECTS!

If we receive overwhelming community support, we'll tackle both projects in 2026!

This would add another 1.25 hectares to our nature sanctuary, bringing our total protected area to 7.25 hectares!

Combined Target: NZD$23,800

$25 could plant and nurture one native tree
$100 could fund one meter of protective fencing or create part of a walking trail
